The Greenmoon story: What went before.

Ofcourse this is not the start of the story. It's not even the start of this chapter but we have to start somewhere don't we?

For those who know nothing of the Greenmoons let me fill you in quickly about a bit of their history. As their last name already suggests (there is no moon in Yliakum afterall) the Greenmoons are a family who can trace their lineage back since before the portals that brought the races here. Well they could if the records of those ancient times had survived. But we will start a bit more recent.





Only around a decade or two ago Sangwa Greenmoon came to Hydlaa (under a false name as he wanted to proof his own worth) to start a career with the Dark Empire. A guild full of ambitious people led by a beautifull empress with dreams of one day aquiring a land of their own. Seeing Yliakum was full it was natural that this would have been in the labyrinths somewhere away from the crystal so this is where the name of the guild came from. The goal they wanted to achieve one day.

Many tales can be told of these times and perhaps soeday you will hear them but today I will simply tell you that more then a decade ago the empress had to leave Yliakum in preparation of this goal leaving Sangwa as chancelor of the Empire to lead those that remained and make sure they would be ready for when a good spot would be found.

Sadly this expedition seems to have failed as never has there been word from then again although several followup expeditions have set out to find them.

After several years of being the chancelor and having no word the imperials could not hold up hope anymore and they looked to Sangwa Greenmoon. Sangwa Greenmoon was crowned emperor and with a daughter already a pregnant wife and an adopted son the Greenmoon dynasty seemed secure.

But under the leadership of Sangwa the imperials became a a formidable force and with power comes the envious look from those with lesser power and the watchfull eyes from those protecting their spot higher up.

Some feared that the Empire wouldn't settle for a land outside Yliakum when they already had such a powerbase here and others simply didn't agree with the ideals of the empire where ambition and work could bring you to the highest council and didn't like the succes the Empire seemed to have with these ideals.

Sangwa and his family was targeted by assasins and the empire as a whole came under attack several times. Ofcourse covertly everytime but it seemed obvious someone high up the ladder had to be involved in these continued attack.

Eventually Sangwa and later his wife were killed and although never confirmed his adopted son Nurahk is suspected to have undergone the same fate.

Only the daughter of Sangwa from a previous marriage, Morwen Greenmoon, and the child of his wife Garile Greenmoon, Yayelle Greenmoon, remained. Morwen in hiding in the wilds only a few loyal imperials still left with her and Yayelle alone afer the death of her mother and her mothers bodyguard. Only nine cycles old. Will the assasins that killed her mother find Yayelle first? Will Morwen who is being prepared to follow in her fathers footsteps be able to claim the throne?

These are the questions of the story of the Greenmoons today. This is the story I hope to bring you.

Well this is the position the family is in now
